While I thought he was being pretty harsh, here's my view on the post. (Sent the saema a comment, not sure if he'll add it though! :) )

Sure, I agree with you on the general idea, that someone who publicizes his likes/dislikes is a complete fart unless he's the real deal. Although I do agree with you on many aspects, I would like to put in my own comments :) It's YOUR blog after all, you can delete the comment if you don't like it.
Firstly, I know you wanted to get rid of these issues that were bugging you by writing about it, yet I find the post a little too aggressive for my comfort. It's similar to the guy who has a prejudice against Andhraite students, and their habits, and has actually posted a big comment - completely missing your point.
1. What with the voice and pronunciation lessons that are doled out to sales executives and call-center techies alike, I think the 'Ma/My' point is pretty lame. In an age when most (literate) Indians know that they have an accent, and want to get rid of it, 'Ma' sounds more English/Irish in pronunciation, and as long as they are just SAYING it and not WRITING MA, I don't see the root of your frustrated first point.
Delighted at the Paulo Coelho remark. Though I won't pretend I am a big reader of his works, (I've read only THE ALCHEMIST), I realized that if you check the Bollywood celebrities' reading list, many of them have happened to mention that Coelho is their favorite author. Hence the blind following by the masses (except those who really do like him, of course).

Not too impressed about the SRK movie point, I'm not a big fan myself, neither of his films nor IPL....but the vein in which you have suggested it, it seems you have a grudge against ALL movies (except maybe INDB's top rated ones, of course).

I'm a BIG fan of the EPL, in fact I follow all the matches closely. I even follow La Liga and Seria A when I can. I have dozens of favorite players, and I don't see what you are whimpering about. What do you think is going through these clubs' business models when they decide to release the jerseys' designs? To gain fan following, of course. I can tell you a lot about Chettri, too, you know - except maybe with a little less fluency than about a Drogba or a Fabregas. Just like you follow IPL, I follow the EPL, and I see nothing to be ashamed about. In fact, I feel that the IPL is a lame-ass entertainment blitz, with it's disinterested cheerleaders and pooping ads every two deliveries.
Hmm... Not so wise about the music. My roomie listens to Indian Classical music with the same fervor as I listen to Western. I listen to Floyd, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, God is an Astronaut and Opeth with the same enthusiasm. Of course, I am totally with you, against the wannabe's...I hate the guys who buy black t-shirts with big graphics about Dream Theater when they don't know what the hell it is, and cannot even name a single album.
ABSOLUTELY LOVED the Guevara point. :)
AND the status messages. Nice touch.
All in all, hats off, i guess. It's a free country, and your opinions are as well respected as the next guy's. Hopin' to see more soon :)
